Ready to start
Keep this tab open and your device awake. The countdown stays accurate when you switch tabs; your browser and device must allow sound for the alarm to play.
Choose a time from 10 seconds to 24 hours, press Start, and get an alarm at zero. It works on a laptop, Chromebook, tablet or phone, with nothing to install. Use full screen when people need to see the countdown from across the room.
Enter hours, minutes and seconds, or choose a preset such as 5 minutes or 2 hours.
Pick a sound and press Test to check it, or choose Silent for a visual finish.
Start a timer on its own, or add more and run them together or in sequence. Pause and Reset remain available for each timer.
Use the full-screen button to show large digits on a TV, projector or classroom display. Press Escape to leave.
Give reading, quizzes or group work a visible end time. Full screen puts the countdown on a projector, while Silent lets you finish without a bell.
Set six minutes for eggs, or a longer timer for baking and resting meat. Leave the tab open while following a recipe elsewhere; the selected sound plays at zero.
Time a plank, stretch or rest period. The countdown is recalculated from the clock, so switching tabs does not add drift to the interval.
Try a 25-minute focus block followed by a five-minute break. A visible countdown makes the end of each session easy to judge.
Give speakers a fixed slot or time each agenda item. Put the display full screen on a second monitor so the remaining time is readable from a distance.
Choose Silent for a quiet five-minute reset or breathing session. The numbers still reach zero without interrupting the room with a chime.

The timer keeps counting down while this tab stays open and your device stays awake. It uses the target time rather than adding interval ticks, so background throttling does not slow the countdown. Your browser must allow audio for the alarm to sound.
